The first semester of the course started from late March & ended in July, the semester focusing more on theories & the understanding of the job scope of a Quantity Surveyor, or as someone who works in the construction industry in general, giving us a boost for the coming semesters, introducing us to the general & specific knowledge en route to a career as a Quantity Surveyor.

 

Unlike the semesters to come, we would go into this semester without any specific knowledge on the job we would be taking, most of us coming from foundation or A-levels, which might not provide enough thorough knowledge or relevance on the career.

 

4 subjects occupy the semester that would introduce us to the construction world, Measurement 1, Construction Technology 1, Building Materials & Introduction To Law. About 60 members were on the same journey & hopefully, all of us would excel not just in this semester but in the coming days, whether as a student or as a professional.
