The topics of this module consists of introduction to the role of quantity surveyor, procurement, tendering methods and procedure, tender and contract documentation, tender examination and report, variation claims, Prime Cost & Provisional Sum, interim valuation, final account and cost control, delays; extension of time; damages; guarantee and bond, and alternative dispute resolution. The module's assessment consists of a mid-term test, an individual presentation, a group assignment and a final exam.

The module is taught by the experienced Mr. Ramar Subramaniam, who was very helpful, knowledgable & hardworking throughout the semester, I look forward to seeing him again in semester 5. I feel that this module is one of the most important modules along with measurements because it teaches the material that we would need in the working field and later in internship. I worked hard and thankfully I enjoyed this studying this module
